LLCOs promote of LMC Convergence

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – On 2 March 2015, the Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch 10 (RCMB 10) led a special meeting exclusively for Labor Law Compliance Officers (LLCO) in preparation for the implementation of LMC Convergence of Programs towards the issuance of Certificate of Compliance on Labor Relations (COC-LR) held at the Voluntary Arbitration (VA) Conference Room of RCMB 10, Capistrano corner Pacana Street, Cagayan de Oro City. Present during the meeting were Mr. Atheneus A. Vasallo, Chief – Labor Employment Officer (LEO) and Fourteen (14) LLCO both of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE 10), representatives of Employee Compensation Commission 10 (ECC), Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board 10 (RTWPB), and Occupational Safety and Health Commission (OSHC). OIC-Director, Atty. Ligaya R. Lumbay presented the LMC Convergence of Programs towards the issuance of COC-LR vis-à-vis concept of LMC; programs structure with functional sub-committees and planning/steps in implementing the convergence. She emphasized for a close coordination on the programs and processes of DOLE, LLCO, NCMB, ECC, OSHC and RTWPB, and conduct seminars and trainings at one plant level through the LMC. Chief LEO Vasallo stressed Administrative Order No. 47 on convergence vis-à-vis LMC on LLCOs checklist, LCCOs should help in promoting LMC in the workplace. List of companies interested to have LMC will then be referred to NCMB for pre facilitation and facilitation. After the meeting, the LMC Convergence Team conducted seminars for companies within the Phividec Industrial Estate and different industries in Camiguin Island on different dates. J.S.Aragon
