CAMIGUIN ISLAND – Regional Conciliation and Mediation with Department of Labor and Employment, Employee Compensation Commission and Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board of this Region, promoted Labor Management Cooperation (LMC) Convergence of DOLE and Attached Agencies Programs to the following establishments in Camiguin Province on 3-5 August 2016: 1) Mambajao Credit Cooperative (MCC) with 23 participants; 2) Camiguin Electric Cooperative (CAMELCO) with 135 participants and; 3) Vjandep Pastel of Camiguin with 18 participants.

LMC, as what it is known, is a plant level mechanism wherein workers and management work together to accomplish certain goals using mutually acceptable means.  It is a good avenue for the workers and management to air their issues, concerns and even complaints.

Thus, whenever there is an aggrieved worker it is suggested that he or she will utilize first LMC or the Grievance Machinery of the company before going to the DOLE or any attached agencies to file a case against the management.

LMC Convergence Team of Region 10, successfully structured the LMCs of MCC, Camelco and Vjandep with the following sub-committees namely: Grievance, Quality & Productivity, Health, Wellness and Safety, Labor Law Compliance, Family Welfare and Decorum & Investigation.
